Bom Dia Kristin! I now have my NIF, and actually own my tiny Stone House and land. I ran out of time to open my bank account, but thanks to you, I got a WISE card and. account, and it did everything I needed to do. I will be going back in time to see my baby Cherry trees in blossom. I hope to spend May and June on the next trip. I LOVE your channel and hope to meet up with you again soon. Much Love, Rich

Some serious issues in Portugal are: terrible bureaucracy in everything. Corrupt, perpetually unstable government now. Very serious wild fires every year now. Droughts getting worse. Housing and food costs skyrocketing. Expensive cars. Mold inside houses and apartments. Very poor heating in winter, and expensive. Dull, monotonous shops etc outside the main cities. Hardly no vegetarian or vegan options in restaurants outside main cities. Animal cruelty - abandoned dogs especially. Perpetual rain in winters is very common now and can last months! Flooding. Difficult to get reliable services if you need something fixed. BUT, if you have a good pension, and you don’t mind these issues (and, of course, you can avoid some of these), then you can have a reasonably comfortable and safe life here in Portugal 😊🎉

Remember when these videos used to be "under $1,000 per month"? 😂

I would love to see coverage of the eastern side of the Adriatic (Slovenia, Croatia, and Albania).

As somebody who lives in PortugaL, I'm always surprised how misleading these videos can be. $70 for private healthcare???? I'm 63 years old and my monthly payment is €235 (I'm not complaining, I get value for my money). Also, rents are higher than mentioned in the video.

I think Portugal has an amazing lifestyle: sunny days, great beaches and wonderful food. But only foreigners with money can persist with such a style of living. I think the Portuguese dream became too popularized and it's just not what it used to be.

I would say it sounds too good to be true. I am in the Czech Republic and $3K/mo doesn’t really cut it any more.

The video references Valencia, Alicante, Granada as Portiguese cities (minute 35). You should change that to Lisbon, Porto, Coimbra, Braga. Also it shows that private Healthcare is $70/month yet I've found it to be at least $100/month, especially for retirees.

🇫🇷 …after all the research. Going there in April for my second scouting - where in France to live and meanwhile we learn the language. The fact that they strike and protest makes me appreciate their moxy. Thanks for this.
