  What the Muslims considered the religion of the Greek philosophers, the most important of which was Aristotle, was in fact Neoplatonism, which had no great relationship with Aristotle. For this reason, many esoteric Muslims who were influenced by Neoplatonism glorified Aristotle, thinking that he was the author of that belief, and those who criticized them were criticizing Aristotle, but in reality Aristotle has nothing to do with it, it was Plotinus all along which was almost unknown to Muslims
