I love how you described the "water gravy" as a symbol of resilience. It takes a lot of heart to turn just flour, lard, and water into a meal that feels like a hug. It’s not just about the calories; it’s about the spirit of the person who refuses to let a cold day win.

My dad lived alone for 20 years and his go-to was always the fried egg sandwich. He said the "charming mess" of the broken yolk made him feel alive. I wish I had spent more time sitting at his small table eating those with him. This video makes me want to call him in spirit and say thanks for the lessons in self-reliance.

Hi. Christmas treat was always a cottage cheese with potted meat, mayo, ketchup, and onion powder... served with chips. Once a year we enjoyed it.

Creamed eggs on toast helped widows and families survive the Great Depression. It’s more than food; it’s history.

Egg frittata is a GREAT go to dish for using up fresh vegatables before they begin to deteriorate. My favorite is tomato, avacado, basil, with fresh mozerella cheese dabbled on top .
