"This isn't even my desk" .. I love the fact that R. Lee Ermey is in this movie not playing a soldier role.

"Any tool is a torture tool, if you're creative enough"

Best line ever, and it's not even from the movie.

The sloth scene! 😮😮😮 They didn't tell the other actors it was an actual person under all the makeup. Their horror and jump scare when he gasps is 100% authentic. 21:25 Yup.

When you're expecting a nineties action flick set to the music of the Backstreet Boys, but you get True Detective set to Nine Inch Nails 😆

the sunny day at the end is based on "Long is the way and hard, that out of Hell leads up to the light"

A David Fincher Batman movie could've been something really special.

“John Doe has the upper hand” is such a great line.
Epitomises this film and gives us viewers a terrible dread.
Great reaction 👍🏼

"The world is a fine place and worth fighting for... I agree with the second part." (Detective Somerset) This movie is so dark and good. Fun fact: Brad Pitt was genuinely injured during the filming of the rain-soaked foot chase sequence when he slipped and smashed his arm through a car windshield, severing a tendon in his hand. The deep cut required surgery and stitches. Rather than shutting down production of Se7en while he recovered, director David Fincher chose to rewrite the script to incorporate the injury, which is why Detective Mills wears a real forearm cast for the entire second half of the movie. This created unique continuity challenges, forcing Pitt to hide his cast behind his back or in his pockets when filming scenes that technically took place before the chase scene.

Leland Orser didn't sleep for several days in order to mimic that level stress during the interrogation scene; Absolutely insane dedication to the craft.
