Jesse Plemons gave the best performance of his entire career here, in my opinion.

When I saw the mum floating, I assumed it was because he always heard "she's high as a kite".

I'm glad you mentioned how the music seems it was made for a different movie. Yorgos Lanthimos said he had the composer Jerskin Fendrix score the movie without seeing the movie or knowing ANYTHING of what it was about. He only gave him three words to work off of: BEES, BASEMENT, SPACESHIP.
I LOVED this movie.

Was sad to realize after the ending that Michelle probably really was going to take Don on the ship like she said she was. She realized he was in fact the conscience.

by the middle of the film, as insane as Teddy was, I felt like it didn't matter if Michelle was an alien or not, she seemed alien to humanity regardless of if she was from outer space or not. Brilliant performance.

The shot of Emma feeling her bald head literally looks like old timey Nosferatu

14:54 At that point the audience suspected something's up with Michelle since she didn't escape the house after freeing herself

Went into this movie with zero expectations and it was great. I loved the fact you felt Jessie's character was insane but then there were times he made sense, the back and forth of it.
Also I knew he was right about her being an alien when she starts to monolog about humanities history

Fun fact: "Auxolith" means "growing / accelerating stone." Pretty insidious reference to the idea that life will flourish best on a planet without people, as well as a great Easter egg for Emma's career.

Oh, and "Michelle Fuller" sounds exactly like the kind of modern "Jane Doe" cover aliens would create after decades of exposure to radio signals of Full House. 😅
