Emma Stone must have watched a ton of Elizabeth Holmes clips to prepare for this role because she nails the cold and soulless nature of a corporate CEO. From the blank look in her eyes down to how her words mean nothing but sound like they mean everything, she is so good in her manipulation of Teddy. Truly one of her best performances and she's found her creative soulmate in Yorgos Lanthimos.

She wants them to FEEL free to leave the office. Without actually really BEING FREE to do so given the pressure to conform to corporate needs.

I like how we’re skipping over the fact that Teddy is a serial killer 😂

I love when she came back to the office and said again that it is 5:30 pm and they are free to go XD

You know the first thing that seemed very odd to me in this movie is the fact that when Michelle was getting abducted from her house ,there was no security guard or absolutely anything anywhere near her place, a very rich and high profile important person like her. Even inside her house she didn't seem to have any workers. Later on ofc it made sense and checked out why it was the way it was.

Let this not distract from the real villain of the film: Stavvy.

That monologue in the beginning about the workers leaving at 5:30, is literally a very, very watered down version of what Erika Kirk actually said to her employees in a leaked zoom call after Charlie Kirk’s death

Fuller never feels honest and as you mentioned her words were too perfect, too rehearsed, too fake, so the audience can never be manipulated by her. It's a battle for the audience to choose who to believe, the authentic crazy or the dishonest pretender.

I love how incidentally the speech pattern resembles a lot how AI communicates. The constant reassuring, the framing of a situation nicer than it is to connect further with the person, the double speak to not seem like its disagreeing with you even if it is
