I live in Sinaloa, Mexico & I just ordered Giant Leek & American Flag Leek to plant this fall. I love leeks! I have 7 kids, 10 grandchildren & 1 great-grandchild so far, lol. When mine were little we would make leek & potato soup and my husband always called it Leaky Potato Soup. I love seeing your Snugli type carrier for your little one. I always kept my little ones in a snugli or a sling too. Blessings to you all. These are very nice ideas for my upcoming harvest! Thanks!

So happy to have found your channel. I’ve only preserved fruits before and want to learn about vegetables now. Looking forward to your harvests.

Love the baby wrap! My daughter and I got a lot done while she slept in ours - even painting some of our house.

I must say, please remember, when you least expect it (and possibly sooner than you imagine) baby will miraculously roll completely over and off the bed...or bench as the case may be 😜 Don’t ask me how I know. My first is now 19 and has passed all the usual milestones so I don’t think his Superman impressions harmed him at all but oh my goodness, I can still remember the huge fright I had the first time. While I did the dishes in our galley kitchen, I had him lying in the bassinet that attaches to pram but not strapped in like we would do if we went out for a walk. A few minutes in and I heard my 4-month old land on the floor! My heart sank through the bottom of my stomach. I didn’t know in that moment if he had hit his head on one of the cabinet handles on his way down. By the time my second came along, I was an expert at soft barricades between baby and falls. 😊

So interesting to see how European practices in canning are different from North American. I've rarely seen a European perspective. Two main differences (aside from the pressure canner itself) were the type of lid on the water bath canned soup and the concept of boiling for 10 mins after pressure canning to kill botulism. I've never heard that before.

That is an interesting pressure canner. Looks comparable to the All-American in America. I have a presto pressure canner.

I boil mine too because I'm born sceptical, but according to the 'US department of Agriculture guidelines for safe home canning', you did everything right and should not need to do so.
