I love my MPC1+. I originally bought it so I can turn my computer off. Sure I had heaps more options on my laptop. But I love my almost dawless set-up with my Tascam DP-24SD and external rack hardware. No more mouse. Real, oldschool hands on music creation/production. I'm 60, so I feel more at home with my set-up. I can record my hardware synths, guitars, acc drums, etc. I feel more like a musician again. Laptop just made me feel like a musical manipulator.

I bought the MPC One G2 two weeks ago for €830 because I finally wanted a standalone piece of hardware. I love it! ❤

Two things: if you already own the MPC and you have the Pro pack, when you get your MPC 1+ Gen 2, it will be available. Secondly, not having dedicated buttons on the MPC one is not a dealbreaker. because you can always customize shortcuts by holding menu and tapping one of your pads. Just a little tidbit for people that’s on the fence about getting this device.

Great video

I've used the Key61 for four years. One of the best pieces of gear I've ever bought. I bought the XL six weeks ago and coupled with an NI Komplete MKII 88 keyboard is excellent. I'm transfering 30 years of recordings to it and using it as my main recorder / mixer.

this is so true what you say about the hybrid stuff. I do not even try. DAWs were good 15 years ago, that is over.

Absolutely right .ive noticed Most complaints come from users trying hybrid workflows . Just use the standalone that does everything you need it to do and stop complaining.

I bought my Key37 about a year ago, and it's my baby. I do full productions right in the box, and it's a dream come true.
OS3 (3.9) runs a bit slower on it though. No problems that affect its effectiveness, but it is a bit sluggish doing some tasks.
I need the faster processor, so I will eventually upgrade. But, in my opinion, most folks could just buy the little Sample and be plenty happy.

This form factor reminds everyone of the Akai MPC 2000XL.

I upgraded from the original mpc one to the MPC one generation 2 mainly for the upgraded features such as the ability to use multiple plugins.
