Drumless is the acoustic version of Boom Bap. It sounds good in smaller doses but can get very repetitive for longer spans

Drumless actually goes back to the spoken word pieces performed by artists like The Last Poets and Gil Scott Heron in the 70s. But it makes a difference to your tour, if all your tracks are drumless. Because it's listening music.

The RZA was on this early and then Roc Marci took it up a level and made a whole sub-genre out of it.

Not only using Latin samples. All the founders doing it with World Music samples. The point is still finding the most obscure stuff, people looking more and more beyond or within their regions to make it. Are a lot of Latin ones used, yes, but also Italian, African, even Palestinian.

It’s all global love because it’s all hip hop! 🫡
