  Qatar Airways don&apos;t seem to understand that their actions have given them far more bad publicity than the original video did. If they&apos;d just apologised for the poor flight experience this would have all been forgotten by now.

  Update 7 months later: 3 trips munich to perth, 2 trips munich to cape town. Thank you Emirates for great service even when I got stuck in Dubai for 36 hours because of the flood.... In that time my family gave done 2 x 2 trips capetown to Rome. I and them purposefully ignored Qatar and will continue to spread the word of your experience.

  I actually was going to be flying Qatar in the New Year. But in support of the staff of that airline, I shall pay more and use a different carrier.

  Josh, I think you missed mentioning, that the whole point of flight reviews is to help airlines improve their product. How else would an airline know that the product they offer is one of the &quot;best in the world&quot; if everyone only present the good to the company? Perhaps Qatar Airways want to wait until the ratings and public perception of the airline diverged so much, that ridership plummets. Even then, the airline would struggle to figure out what went wrong because they would have destroyed the critical, honest feedback that they need to improve.

  I lived in Qatar for a few years, and the behavior they exhibited (banning you) is normal. They are the most overly-sensitive babies of any nation. They seem very insecure, and are totally rude and are bullies. Any criticism will lead to legal action, banning, etc.
