My head cannon for Icarus has always been that the sisters saved him from the fall as a kid and then told him that if he could reach them they would change his fate so he can be with his father again, so the reason that we see him as a crazy old man is because he’s spent his life trying to reach the sisters and drove himself insane by the time kratos finds him

As the norns said: “There is no grand design. No script. Only the choices you make. That your choices are so predictable merely makes us seem prescient.”

Kratos beating them like that and destroying their cracked-trapped mural makes it even more satisfying after all the machinations and manipulations they put him through.
And when Zeus said : "The sisters have aided you" and Kratos responds with : "The sisters are dead" is pretty good!

Fun fact: Kratos doesn't just say "I GROW TIRED OF THE LIES OF THE GODS!" he also says other things depending on what button you press, things like "I AM CURSED!" and "COME DOWN AND FACE ME NOW ZEUS!" (He says something else but I forgot that one)

Also a circle prompt DOES appear above Lahkesis's head, just not the "intimate" kind

Fun fact: In the God of War 2 Novel, Clotho demanded that her two sisters, Lahkesis and Atropos kill Kratos by cutting his thread before meeting him, and they didn't listen. Now look what happened.

"Your resolve is admirable. Even if it is... misguided."

I always love that line.

I would've loved a game about the Last Spartan. Dude isn't a demigod, and not only did he make it to the Island of Creation, but he fought through monsters, and made it further than Perseus, the Barbarian King, Theseus, and Icarus combined. You can even see him doing so in the background. And he only died because Kratos fought him in the dark, and thus didn't recognize him until it was too late. He was a badass.

When Kratos defeated the Sisters of Fate, I was like... "Was that part of Destiny, or did Kratos cheat Destiny?"

For those who were wondering, "How did the Last Spartan make it to the island and meet Kratos again after Zeus destroyed Sparta?" In the novel, it was explained that a giant eagle found the Last Spartan and dropped him on the island.

It was confirmed that the two trapped in the mirror are not dead. Corey Balrog, who directed 2, said this:

“Only Clotho is dead; Atropos and Lakhesis are alive, but trapped somewhere and waiting for revenge.”

I'd always assumed it was not Icarus, but Daedalus that Kratos encounters on the bridge. He never refers to himself by name, only asks rhetorically if Kratos has heard of Icarus. He's there on the island because he's trying to change fate and save his son.

What I find fascinating is that Kratos had the power at the end of GoW2 to go back and undo the murder of his family.

He could've used his thread of fate to undo all of his sins and regain what he lost but he didn't.

He was so incensed at the gods that he didn't even consider that option.

He only sought to end Zeus.
