Personally, This is Michael Jackson's best choreography. I love the transition from the breakdown right back into dance. He wasn't lying about being smooth.

Fun fact: He practiced those spins to exhaustion. I was fortunate enough to spend 5 days at Neverland (Chris Tucker and I became friends before he was famous and we were working together about a decade later; we accomplished next to nothing there lol). In his dance space, he had LITERALLY worn the top layer of the floor away in a circle. He made every move look so easy, but he put in a ton of work to make it look that way.

Michael Jackson didn't perform dance to the highest excellence of the art, he reinvented dance all over again. Truyly epic legend🕺⭐✨✨

Believe it or not, Annie was inspired by a resuscitation doll. MJ saw it in the room next to his recording studio and asked what it was, he was told it was used for CPR classes. During CPR training you have to ask: ‘Are you okay’…. So he put that in the song, he also says ‘mouth to mouth resuscitation, sounding heartbeats’ and right at the beginning of the song if you listen carefully you’ll hear a heartbeat…. That’s MJ’s own heartbeat which he recorded and added in!<br>The man was a genius… who else could write & produce a belter like this after seeing a resuscitation doll!!!!!! THE KING! THE GOAT!! 👑

Michael Jackson made short film musicals. No one makes music videos like this anymore. He was an amazing creative soul.

Comparing this to most of today's singers makes me realize just what a Genius he really was. Something that I never really appreciated at the time.
