A few more facts: The stunt car ripped open its oil pan in one of the Taylor St. jumps (as shown in your video). The cars had radio antennas in different locations, Tony Nancy (drag racer, interior specialist) gave Steve a Shelby (Nardi) steering wheel wrapped in leather. The stunt car required a lot of bolstering while the Charger ran pretty much unaltered. - - - I'm old enough to have seen this movie when it came out and fortunate enough to have laid my hand on it when on display.

The most unbelievable thing in the chase scene is that the Charger lost seven hubcaps.

My father took my best friend and me to see this movie when it was first released. When the movie was over, we stayed in our seats to watch it again as it was so exciting!

An Older Buddy of mine in High School (I was 15) had a Black 1969 390 Mustang, we took road trips. Super cool car👍 . Damn Fast too.

There were 3 original Bullitt Mustangs - 1 was crushed. Per stuntman Loren James, stuntman on the film.
