  The longer I’ve been alive, I’ve realized money is the greatest equalizer. Gay people are discriminated against, but Peter Thiel, a gay billionaire isn’t dealing with hardship. Women have to deal with sexism, but Taylor Swift, a female billionaire is not dealing with hardship. I feel like a similar thing goes for Jay Z and Beyonce. Money can buy you privileges you normally wouldn’t have and protect you from a lot of hardship or discrimination.

  This is a man who sold drugs to his own people.For whatever reason people put a drug dealer on a pedestal then expected him to have some change of morality.But Malcom X did warn Black people about making entertainers leaders.

  Another point to add with Jay's Target deal is that he owns his masters for the Reasonable Doubt album. A lot of hip-hop artists who have albums in Target don't own their masters. Therefore, they don't control the distribution of their albums, unlike Mr. Carter does.

  i’m too white to contribute to the discussion on the harms jay z has specifically done to black people, and i don’t want to downplay black successes, but i’ve always had the opinion that once a person is a billionaire, they’re basically a straight white cis man. once you’ve accumulated that much capital, you don’t face the struggles that the rest of your community does, and exploiting that for support is gross.

  It’s literally making me sick to my stomach. But I’m not surprised at all. Most former  drug dealers operate this way. Not to generalize all, but those who believe in this system does.

  The Carters 🤝 Taylor Swift 🤝 way too many fucking powerful people at this fragile point in time: co-opting the images of whatever is progressive in order to profit off the people who need those progressive movements, only to take their money and remain silent when those people are in danger.
