  I can describe Beyoncé just fine—she's a curatorial genius. She is an alchemist who takes bits and pieces(her incredible voice, her team, etc) and mixes it all  into gold. People need to respect her more for it.

  For me, Beyoncé is one of the few artists who still maintains the essence of what it means to be a vocalist and performer at the same time. She has an incredible performance and has always had one of the best visuals, but for As a fan of her voice, I really liked that in her last two albums she focused more on the music itself. She doesn't need visuals if she doesn't want them. Her voice is enough. 🫶🏻

  I think if you were to ask people in public to name as many Beyonce and Rihanna songs as you can, a lot more people would name Rihanna songs. But Beyonce is more of an albums artist where someone like Rihanna is more known for her singles. Beyonces was playing the pop game more in the 2000s which is why people can name her 2000s songs more

  As Beyoncé and I are about the same age, Janet Damita Jo Jackson has always been “my Beyoncé,” if that makes sense. You mentioned watching, listening, studying, and learning all of Destiny’s Child’s choreo, etc. I did that with Janet. Seriously, when the .janet era hit and the music video for “If” premiered, I was obsessed! I recorded the video on my old ass VCR and I practiced for hours every day after school. No one can touch the golden era of Janet with Tina Landon creating all of the choreography for Janet and performing said choreography with her, as she was Janet’s most noteworthy backup dancer and they were very good friends. That could always be felt. It was everything and it still is. 💃🏻 🪩 💅 💐

  Beyonce icon status is undeniable, from the discography, performances, vocal technicalities etc, however when it comes to song writing everybody wants to make excuses for her, suddenly the definition of a song writer is flexible, she doesn&apos;t have any pen game whatsoever, but one thing I think she does is curate a song, maybe even produce, what melody has she come up with that is not directly taken from the demo? I believe she needs a ready made foundation then she uses her skills to build the rest of the main structure from that. I think Beyonce brand has made us believe that she is an all rounder artist writer, producer, singer etc it is what they sold to us even in destiny child, so people can&apos;t except that maybe there really is an area where she might be lacking.<br><br>However getting a group of people together to create something phenomenal is what she is good at, and that is GREAT too.

  i think people use overrated very flippantly, especially when it comes to beyonce. what they REALLY mean is &quot;i don&apos;t like this particular artist but everyone else does&quot; which is fine, but that&apos;s not the same as overrated. as a music lover and as someone who&apos;s actually studied her music i think her icon status is well deserved. she constantly reinvents herself effortlessly and methodically, which shows how seriously she takes her artistry. she doesn&apos;t do things halfway
