As you probably know, YouTube alone doesn’t really bring in a huge amount of income for this kind of long-form lore content. I’m doing this mainly because I TRULY love storytelling and lore. Because of that, my dream right now is to BUILD a community of around 1000 members.

A community like that alone would genuinely give me enough support to KEEP the channel running, spend more time creating, and consistently release even higher-quality videos in the future.

So if you enjoy the content and want to help support the channel directly, I’d be incredibly grateful if you considered becoming a member.

► Become 1 of our 1000 CORE MEMBERS here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC3omGC6tssBbHwyZ3gUmrkA/join

Thank you for always being here and helping The Lore keep going deeper.

Fun fact: When the Girl ascended to become The God of Fear and Hunger using the still “living” corpse of the God of the Depths, she stole it's control over rodents and birds. She did not steal The Depths' control over insects because when she was still mortal insects REALLY freaked her out (when the girl is in your party she will take more health and mind damage from insect attacks (whether physical or spell based), and is really uncomfortable to be around the Roach King.).

I feel like for the God of the Depths, perhaps merging with the Bride, a mortal creature, opened up the God to being vulnerable to death as well. Something like a balanced exchange: she gained some of its primordial power, it received her mortality.

I feel like ascended Gods are born from the sylvian marriage of a 'corpse' of an old god and a human. I think the Old Gods end game is to evolve into new concepts to continue existing in this human world

I've never seen that depiction of the God of the Depths. Kinda wicked honestly.

Today I realized you can only engage Sylvian in hard mode. Giggety.

3:47 I think the duality can be taken even further. Consider this: Have I created bread, or destroyed dough? Have a destroyed a clay pot, or created clay shards?

Being a huge Cthulhu Mythos fan but not having played Fear & hunger or knowing any of the lore I was very stoked to see one of my favorite great old ones Chaugnar Faugn brought into this game.
