'Picnic at Hanging Rock' is a great unnerving, even haunting film… thanks for the rest of the recommendations, have to give them a watch.

"MIRANDAAAARRRRR" - oh god, Picnic at Hanging Rock is such a classic Aussie film - it is historical in so many ways - culturally significant and rooted in our psyche even for a 70s film (because you know, it goes beyond a moment in our culture...) - everyone believed it was a true story and not a fictitious one. We even had "experts" back in the day try and solve the missing school girls. One of the very few 10/10 movies for me...

Peter Weir always chooses great cinematographers. I don't think he's ever made a bad movie, and they are always visually stunning.

So great to see The Hourglass Sanatorium get some praise. I caught a screening years ago with no prior knowledge of the film and was blown away for all the reasons you listed.

I saw Toys at the dollar movies. Three times. Just spectacular and joyful, if ultimately silly.

Baraka is astoundingly good. I also love Koyaanisqatsi, which director Fricke also shot.  Both films have amazingly good soundtracks. Both 10/10.

I was all about Toys when I turned 14. My folks were cool and took my friends and me to see it on my birthday. It didn't disappoint.

One of the most beautiful movies I have seen is Mishima. Great score by Philip Glass too.

I watch almost no videos on a phone and wouldn't dream of watching an actual movie. Glad I saw Enter the Void without knowing QT liked it.
