  theres also the fact her special talent isnt actually just making pretty, but finding gems insite regular-looking stones. It's a metaphor to how she sees the beauty inside everyon, cracks it open and brings it out through design.

  Rarity has always felt like the most mature pony regardless of her "emotional" nature. She has so mucn going for her and honestly something I started to mirror in my adulthood. She's great!

  I love rarity, shes over-dramatic like me. People don't like her for showing her emotions. She does learn how to handle them over time, which makes her more relatable. She's like a mom with all the work on her back, explaining her outbursts.

  I think it&apos;s interesting that where most of the characters&apos; growth comes from having to remember their core element to overcome a flaw, it&apos;s often Rarity&apos;s element that gets her into trouble. She&apos;s generous to a fault, often tries to make everyone happy at the expense of herself &amp; what she thinks is right, &amp; in the end she has to remember to trust herself &amp; that she has inate value regardless of what others think. She can be a people-pleaser, &amp; you&apos;d think more people would relate. <br><br>With the oversaturation of the mean girl trope, especially in kids media, I appreciate a girly girl who&apos;s also just a good person. Rarity is confident in who she is, &amp; works to make everyone else feel confident in themselves. She builds people up rather than tearing them down to prop herself up.

  Finally!! Somebody gets it! Rarity is an absolute favorite and I appreciate her episodes just a little bit more than the others in the Mane 6. You can see her growth in a way not shown like the rest. And she&apos;s a hard worker. In beauty there is work, in emotion there is room for understanding. And that is Rarity. ❤🎉

  Answer is simple. She’s a confident hyper feminine character which men and women always find whatever reason to hate. She and fluttershy will always be my favorite characters. But especially rarity. She’s such an interesting character. She’s hard working, creative, generous, and overall a sweetheart who always had everyone’s best interest at heart.

  I like her a lot. Someone who is shallow wouldn&apos;t care about others feeling beautiful. She was shown multiple times going out of her way to make someone feel good about themselves. I think many people didn&apos;t understand her character.

  I swear no one hated on rarity back when i was into the show😂. Shes was like universally agreed to be a best pony contender, her being underrated is news to me

  not to be “that person” but if rarity was a male character people would absolutely praise him for being a diva, being confident, embracing his feminine side, etc. but since rarity is a girl, she’s seen as selfish, over the top, and annoying.

  There is an irony here in the fact that Rarity is perceived as vain and shallow (in other words, surface-level), and yet she is perceived as such by fans who only allow themselves a surface-level reading of her - she is criticised for what the fandom is themselves exhibiting - anyway, really brilliant video!!! Rewatching MLP as an adult meant I could pick up on and relate to Rarity’s ambition and work ethic a lot more than as a kid, and you verbalised this experience of her character really well!!
