  I watched the show when I was a kid and when I found out it ended, I thought I'd revisit it just for laughs (and I was dying from quarantine boredom) but now that I'm older I can appreciate the more mature themes, which basically just means I have depression now so I cried almost every episode because I don't have any friends. But yeah, I guess I'm back in the fandom now.

  It’s quite simple. Lauren Faust wanted to create a show that wasn’t just for a little girls but a show that the entire family could watch She intentionally pushed back against the notion that "girl's cartoons" had to be shallow, overly simplistic, or exclusively for young children. She wanted to create a show that could be enjoyed by the whole family, specifically designing it so that parents and older family members could watch alongside children. During her initial pitch to Hasbro, Faust noted that while the primary target audience was girls aged 6 to 11, she designed the compelling conflicts, strong characterizations, and silly humor to appeal to boys as well.

  To be honest, i don&apos;t remember why i startet to watch MLP in the first place.<br>But i remember that the episode where Gilda shows up gave me the curage to quit contact to a toxic relationship. And the show will always have a place in my heart.

  Tbh I used to be a HUGE mlp hater and would always be like &quot;ugh that show is for little girls, I&apos;ll never watch it&quot; but one of my friends was a huge fan and once I mentioned how I don&apos;t get why people like it, she kept on begging me to at least try watching the first episode. Eventually I started watching and idk what it was but I just kept on watching every episode and I actually really liked it. I&apos;m still not sure how or why but even to this day, this show is one of my favorites of all time.

  the show itself didn&apos;t draw me into the MLP fandom, it was what the fandom created that did, from theory videos, to audio reads, speed painting/drawing and full blown animation series. back then I was in a creative rut, to the point where I couldn&apos;t draw anything for a whole year and + months. but after a video of someone drawing Twilight in their style caught my attention, and having a vague notion on what the fandom was, i started looking around and the creativity of the fandom got me drawing again. at that time the show was just finished season 5, so I binged watch the series on Netflix, and continued to watch the show to see where the creators would take it.<br><br>and for me, I think around season 3 or 4, is when the show changed from being to kidsy, to trying to tell more complex stories and do more bombastic things with the show because of the fandom. now personally, the TV show was alright, there were a bit Low ends than highs for me, especially with Rainbow Dash and Pinkie who just remind me of two people in life that i can do without seeing or hearing anymore.<br><br>so in small words: I guess I&apos;m a Brony because I like how the show looks, and what it inspired people to make. hell, every new fan content inspires me in one way or another.

  I gotta be honest, your review was a little harsh, but that doesn&apos;t mean it&apos;s a bad review by any means. I ended up liking your overall view on it and you brought up valid points. It&apos;s always nice to see people give the show a chance.<br><br>Since you asked, I think what made me start watching the show was out of curiosity. I wanted to see what the fuss is all about, and was surprised to see that a cartoon made for young children, mainly little girls, is actually enjoyable! So I just kept watching and eventually got into the brony fandom. <br><br>I personally like MLP because like I said before, it&apos;s an enjoyable show to watch (even though there were some bad episodes that made you.. and even I cringe). Great songs, good characters and humor, nice animation, and I like the moral messages at the end despite how cheesy some of them are. Another aspect I really like is the world of Equestria and its history, I&apos;m a nerd for fictional places and things like that. It makes me wish there was an open world videogame where you get to explore Equestria, that would be awesome.<br>The brony community is also part of what made MLP so special. All the memes, songs, fanarts, animations, and parodies.. a lot of great stuff.
