  This is what I did to save time and money:  I STOPPED watching the makeup ladies on YouTube.  I was buying so many products and brushes for the last two years that 75% of the items have never been opened!  Now I just use good skin care products, concealer, mascara, blush and a little lipstick.

  I love that your channel is one of the few places on YouTube where someone will actually tell you what not to buy, or clutter your home with products you don't need.  In a world where literally everyone is trying to sell me something, it's so valuable to hear an honest take on products that you don't need or that don't live up to the hype.

  This woman so reminds me of my grandmother. My grandparents lived so WELL. They had few possessions. They weren't poor by any means, but they bought what they actually needed, and then they took care of it and went on using it. They replaced clothing when it got shabby, but then they bought a new thing and got rid of the old one. My grandmother had one wardrobe, I still have it. It's an ordinary sized free-standing wardrobe. There was space between everything in it, so nothing was ever crushed. She had one small chest of drawers and I think a medium sized one for all her other clothes. When my mother was 15 she bought her mum a set of pottery bowls and small plates for Mothers' Day. My grandmother went on using those for her whole life. They were used at every meal. I have them now. I always think back to how beautiful and how peaceful her house, and her life, were. And this I am hearing in this video sounds just like her own approach. I am trying to get back to that myself.

  I grew up in the 1960s and there was no greater joy for us kids than when  neighbor bought a new refrigerator or a washer/dryer. We would grab the discarded box off the curb and turn them into  fairy houses, forts, and vehicles. Our favorite race game was "tanks", and that's when we had a few big boxes and a kid would get in each one and propel the box forward on our hands and knees like a hamster running on a wheel. We would blindly fly down the sidewalks racing one another until the boxes just fell apart. Good times.

  Definitely relate to all of the cleaning products.  🙄 I didn't throw them out but am using them up and not replacing them....after 6 months I am finally getting more room under the sink...😂😂 Not surprisingly my home is just as clean  !!!! 😊

  Since 2020, I have been on a journey toward minimalism. I no longer buy seasonal decor, paper towels, and make my own cleaning products, use rags for cleaning and a reusable sponge. I follow a 4-piece skincare routine, own less than 20 skin and body care products (including makeup), and have purged over 1,000 items from my house this year. I dont miss anything I have gotten rid of. It has actually helped me take inventory and keep the house cleaner.
