Every cook can fill a plate with rice, mince and cabbage, but it takes a Backyard Chef to make a dish of art.

I just did the forehead slap! I love stuffed cabbage, I've been making it for 40+ years. It was always a bit fiddly to do the rolling of the leaves and not make a mess. I never once thought of keeping the cabbage whole and doing it this way!! Have mercy!! Thank you so much for this.

In Poland, these are called "Gołąbki", although slightly smaller in size. My mum made these every weekend. Yummers! BTW, tasty version.

You went right to the heart of my stomach with this one mate. Definitely the meal of the week and the baker agrees. I’ve made stuffed cabbage heads before but never cooked in a tomato sauce. I’ve always stuffed them then turned upside down and baked it. Our lips will be tasting your success in short order. Cheers😊😊

Great idea, much easier than stuffing each leaf. Thank you for the idea!

Inspiration is everywhere Rik. Nice to see your eyes are open to it.
I used to hate cabbage as a kid but my Granny put me onto white cabbage chopped with a knife and plenty of pepper.
What you have made, I would pay to eat. Well done old lad.

We're just gonna do it , you are my kind of cook. I'm seventy three years old and my mother had a cookbook that measured things out in a pinch , a smidgen , a handful and everyone in my family knew exactly what that meant , and that's how I was raised cooking. I'm extremely comfortable with your style.

I have to parrot so many others. I love this idea so much better than stuffing and rolling a dozen small rolls. Everyone can just lop off as much as they want!
