  Best advice I've heard: stop obsessing over your vocation as if it's more important than becoming holy, it's not. There are by the way many unholy religious people, and there are many holy married people, and vice versa. Your vocation is just the path that best leads you to holiness, nothing more, and other paths might make you holy too. It's not a golden ticket you need to find in order to get into heaven.

  ♥️🕊️🌹Lord JESUS please give me wisdom as I struggle to support my children. I suffer from lupus and heart disease. Things have been hard on me as a single mother. At times I want to give up. Both of my sons have special needs. I have not a soul in this world to turn to but you Lord JESUS. Grant me courage to keep going while I struggle to pay rent and to buy groceries for my children. Amen.🕊️♥️

  For the smaller things in life, Matt, I remember Ennie Hickman’s story of him with his kids and them asking him what they should draw. And his response was “Draw!” this says to me that we have so much freedom in our lives, but God will ultimately draw with crooked lines as the song goes to nature our life goes the way it needs to go

  I remember when I was in college, I stopped at a Dunkin’ Donuts and saw these old women working and they looked worn down. Just very tired and hopeless type of look and I left feeling true heartache for them and telling my GF at the time I wish I could help them in some way. Like give them hope about Jesus and I told my GF I think I need to be a pastor or priest. It just overwhelmed me. In the end I didn’t go that route but I still try my best to share the good news with whoever wants to listen. God bless all the good Priests and nuns who devote their entire lives to God. It’s not easy.

  Our Father in Heaven wants all of us to enjoy a good marriage and a family for eternity, and also hold and use His priesthood power--in Christ&apos;s true restored church those things are not mutually exclusive. When we have the desire for both marriage and priesthood that is the situation God wants for us, exactly.

  I have reviewed multiple testimonies of people discerning their vocation. &nbsp;The common denominators are:<br><br>1. &nbsp;A priest/religious visited many monasteries, convents, orders for discernment weekend or weeks, and when they visited the one where they felt they were at home, that is where they lived out their vocation.<br><br>2. &nbsp;A husband/wife when they were initially in the dating process, they met with many single people of the opposite sex, and when they met the person that made them feel they were home, that is the person they married.
