  How about having Fr Boniface on a regular basis, maybe at least once a month, I’m pretty sure I’m not the only Catholic in the world struggling to find a good spiritual director.

  I was at the monastery in Sept.  My wife has read Father's books.  She thanked Fr Boniface.  Humble man.

  I walk with others in sorrow. I know that God has made me for this.   However, He allows me deep pain and sorrow of my own, with no one other than Him to walk with me.  It is excruciating.  When I operate in my fallen self, I feel so alone and burdened. My dear husband will then remind me, my sacrifice (and it is a sacrifice) is for Him.  Please pray for me.

  This is so important to hear. I think so many in the church, myself included, don’t know how to suffer well or suffer with others. I think it is often, like you said Matt, a shield, like they want the suffering to just go away. It truly is hard to suffer with others, it puts you out. I know for me as a mother, Our Lady has been THE example in learning how to suffer with others, and to just be there with them and for them in their pain.
