This was more of an archaeology project than a restoration! 🏛⚙ From the 'illegal' perlage to the 'tarta sauce' cleaning, which part of this resurrection was the most wild for you? And do you think it's still the same watch? Let me know below! 👇

There are times, when you are afflicted by a kind of melancholy – often with no pressing reason. Maybe when personal woes, however small, merge with greater concerns about this world we are meant to share, but which so often seems well-nigh impossible to do. Then along comes another video from Joe, & for 1 hour, 17 minutes & 32 seconds, everything in the world quietly realigns. A small miracle unfolds concerning the redemption of a destroyed Seiko watch. God (whichever one you prefer) bless you Joe. I have a dear friend in her mid 80s, a nun, who has untreatable pancreatic cancer, & who has asked me to pray for her. I am an unrepentant heathen, but have tried to do so – not so hard, once you come to the conclusion, that it doesn’t really matter what name you use, to address this being. I thank you so much Joe, for your astounding skill, your beautiful family, your wonderful sense of humour, & the overwhelming sense of humanity you show so easily & yet, with so much courage.

I would never believe that the piece of rust from the begining of this video will turn into working watch. Great job, excellent craftsmanship.👍

You are a watchmaker's watchmaker. Determination, finesse, and down right remarkable skill set. Beauty.

This was a brilliant restoration and nice that so many of the parts went back into the watch. I think the scars really keep the story of the piece.

🔥 Absolutely incredible restoration! Bringing a fire-damaged Seiko Bullhead back to life is already impressive, but the attention to detail, the freehand perlage, and that tri-color plating are on another level. 👏

You didn’t just restore a watch—you gave a true Japanese legend a second life. The patience, craftsmanship, and respect for the original piece really show throughout the video. ⌚🔥

Congratulations on an amazing restoration, and thank you for sharing the entire process! 🙏👏

Amazing restoration. Those of us that tinker with old vehicles will have seen combustion blackened and rusty components, but I never expected to see anything like that inside a watch and for it to work again.

‘Humble effort to revive this legend’?! More like a legendary effort to revive a crumbled pile of soot and ash - unbelievable that you’d even attempt it and even more unbelievable that brought back the phoenix from the flames. Maximum respect!
