Browning Golden Eagle Mark 4 and 4A receiver thoughts. White is Bad. Black is Good.

We call the white nylon connector the Kevorkain Plug. Be ready to replace a Jones plug if someone has used a knife to scrape the pins clean. Removing the shiny plated layer ruins it. Has to be cleaned weekly once that layter is removed. The shield cover and the use of DC crystal selection were meant to reduce RF radiating from the receiver. The 23-channel Mark IV had 31 MHz crystals selected the old way, and flunked the FCC limits for stray RF coming out of the receiver. That long crystal wire is a transmitting antenna.

You don't do it for money yet you are richer for it in ways that money can't buy. I appreciate you .

I almost bought a Mk iv but missed it and got a 3. I like it. Has a vfo but hardly turn it on. I'd like a tram but then I'd have more I don't use.

My Mark 4 has the white plastic miles connector. Not good and I have problems with the channel selector sometimes. I think it’s that connection

I've got a s#!t ton of the male and female pins for those Molex plugs however, mine may be the skinnier ones. If you need a handfull, I can pop them in an envelope free of charge. Just helping a fellow old guy 😂.
