  “Leather and luck” you forgot skill. While luck is definitely a huge component, these dudes that race the TT are highly highly skilled.

  Well, you asked for our feelings so here goes . . . Firstly, thank you so much for this absolutely brilliant documentary on what I and many others consider to be the World's premier motorcycle race. Secondly, I grew up in the fifties, sixties, seventies and beyond with the IOM TT fed to me by my late Dad and others as if it were the one-and-only motor race on planet Earth. It may as well be because nothing, anywhere can hold a candle to it. Should the TT be banned? Absolutely not! Not now, not ever! To do so would be to spit on the graves of those 280 odd chaps who gave their very lives to this Race. After reading his biography Ian Hutchinson has booked a special place in my heart as the epitome of heroic grit, courage & determination. Blood, guts and sheer bloodymindedness is what sets him apart from lesser mortals. Certainly a man of men to be held in the highest esteem. And Hutchie is but one of an endless list of warriors on two wheels whom I admire, respect and love. May their memories burn bright and and immortal through the annals of The Isle of Man TT. ✝ Respect

  Why do people keep going on about the amount of deaths at the TT, more climbers have died on Everest and far more have died base jumping. Let people do what they love. May the TT last forever

  No one makes anyone race in the TT.  Riders chose to do it.  Its their life and their decision.

  270 riders and spectators who knew the risks, and paid the price for the excitement and tourism it brought. They could have stayed home if they wanted safety.

  You cannot ban everything because it is dangerous! As long as the participants are aware of the dangers and still volunteer to accept the risks, it must be allowed to continue!

  At the end of my life, I <i>only</i> remember those times at speed on motorcycles and snowmobiles. &nbsp;<i>Those</i> are the moments of my life.

  I remember reading in Bike magazine in the 1970&apos;s about a Tory MP who wanted to ban motorcycle sport in the UK because of the number of deaths. His speech was well received and it seemed that he might succeed. <br>Another MP, a motorcycle rider himself, &nbsp;who might have been forewarned, produced the figures for the number of deaths in equestrian sports, mostly in horse racing. It turned out that more people died off horses than died off motorcycles.<br>Faced with the complete shut down of the horse breeding, horse training, horse trading, horse racing, fox hunting and the gambling industry in the UK the Tory Party &nbsp;saw sense and the original proposal to ban motorcycle sport was quietly dropped. <br>I haven&apos;t heard any more about it in the last fifty years.

  It has to continue as a last &nbsp;bastion of freedom. Yes? Freedom. Free from government, from sickening malaise that is killing us slowly by softening our spirit. Climb mountaiins, explore caves, dive deep into ocean. Mankind needs this spirit and I just watching these brave men make me feel strong and proud to be human in every sense of that word.

  The former EMT in me... really dislikes the TT but the biker in me absolutely loves it and wants to see it in person at least once in my life.
