  I wish that the restaurant files a claim with the police.  Dine and dash is illegal in the first place, a $300 bill is definitely a crime

  Chef here! "Fire course 1" is restaurant speak for the prompt servers give the kitchen when the table is ready for their first course. Basically, a server will take your whole order and clarify which items are the apps (Course 1) and which are the mains (Course 2).  Once the server clears the table of appetizers, they prompt the kitchen with "Fire course 2" which means "Finish preparing their main course and serve it". That way, everything is timed well because some tables take longer to eat apps than others. Desserts are a question posed after the mains are done, which can be punched in as "Course 3", but it doesn't need a "fire course 3" prompt because the order is placed when the table orders their desserts. Also, having "fire course 1, 2, etc" is useful to restaurant owners because they are time stamped and it can give them valuable data on how long menu items take to make, and so on, so they can make informed decisions about menu changes, staffing ratios, how long tables sit for, etc. 😊

  When I was in the netherlands for university, I went to a semi-fancy restaurant alone to improve my formal dutch, and I was taking 2 or 3 pictures of my drink and meal for my family back home. They asked me if something was wrong and I kindly explained I was taking photos and if it was an issue I would stop. They thought I was an influencer, so i apologized and said they were for my family and that i was done. They were so kind after that and gave me a free dessert... it was amazing but I wanted to pay anyway. I could only imagine what crazy stuff they have seen there with influencers.

  Cooper - not again!!! This is the second time you’ve covered someone I know in real life, and I’m officially spooked. I know the owner, Bella is amazing. She’s a Burlesque dancer and incredibly talented 🥰
