  V for Vendetta isn’t about glorifying violence. It’s about what happens when fear becomes a tool of control. V isn’t the hero because he blows up buildings — he’s symbolic. He represents the idea that power ultimately belongs to the people, and that blind obedience is more dangerous than rebellion. The film asks uncomfortable questions: How much freedom will we trade for security? At what point does staying silent make us complicit? It’s less about destruction and more about awakening.

  You didn&apos;t confuse the little girl with another girl. They showed everybody who died in the crowd at the end, including Valerie and Stephen Fry

  An amazing book, based on one of the greatest comic book stories in history. &nbsp;Hugo Weaving&apos;s performance of V -- given he&apos;s wearing the mask the whole time -- is amazing.<br><br>Something you guys should know: &nbsp;every song played in this movie, every movie mentioned, or seen, every book was at one time or another banned and censored. &nbsp;The writer did that intentionally.<br><br>&quot;Does it really matter who V is, at the end of the day&quot;<br><br>Congratulations, NIkki, you just stumbled on the right question. &nbsp;V&apos;s identity is less important than the idea he represents.

  The moment when Evie breaks down in front of V, after she leaves her jail cell, up to the point where she is standing triumphantly in the rain, is one of my favorite acting performances ever.

  A little background something: When the Bishop is killed, if you listen to the background of the security footage, you can hear dialogue from the comic. To wit: V asks the Bishop if he believes in transubstantiation; the idea that holy wafers do, in fact, turn into the flesh of Christ when eaten. He then takes out a poison wafer and forces the Bishop to eat it, reasoning that if the faith is true, it won&apos;t harm him at all. (The comic was against all forms of authority, not just the government. Organized religion was part of it, too.)
