I can't believe the responses here, thank you all so much. I'm trying to respond to some where I can but it's a bit overwhelming the support. Thank you all - will keep you posted on the evolution of this channel and my health as well. As always...keep on growing - Kevin

Kevin I’m a physician and there’s a reason why there are standards that keep a line of demarcation between you and your patients and for the protection of both. You have no line of demarcation and work is life and your life is work. You have put your soul into this and you love what you do but at the same time you need time away and part of that is not living where you work. You’ve gone through some very significant life stressors including a disease that has symptom overlap with panic attacks so you are also questioning is it panic or my heart. Were you in my office I would encourage you to take 12 weeks off to recover and consider medical management. We as viewers care about you and want you to have joy in your life and not panic and dissociation. Take some time… find a doctor you trust and go through treatment options and hit the reset button whatever that may look like for you. But definitely get a line between work and home so you can truly relax and not be constantly at work. We will still be here when you restructure and return. Thank you for the joy you have brought into my life and my garden because it helps me maintain my sanity… now go find yours!❤❤❤ Big hugs!😊

Kevin, while you owe no one an explanation, I appreciated your candor in this video. It is not easy to publicly admit struggles and you have had both good and hard stressors in a short period. I am wishing you the best and hope the boundaries you set and choices you make into the future help you protect your peace. Take care.

My husband acquired Afib at age 39 with panic attacks. His father and older brother died of heart disease at a young age. He was very fearful of death. He recently had an ablation. It was successful. He is off the blood thinner and anti- arrhythmia medication. He is doing much better. There is hope. Hang in there. Sending you prayers!

While we are all thankful for your transparency, your health and life comes first. Find a new home. Enjoy the privacy. You always tell us a solid piece of advice: keep on growing. Sometimes that isn’t about plants, but about who we are as a person.

“Compost yourself” is the most gentle way I’ve heard it explained. That broke my heart.. This is a beautiful acknowledgement and change. We love you wherever you are, however often we see you.

Dearest Kevin - Leaves are for composting. People are for cherishing. You, my friend, are definitely not compost! I for one have cherished your openness, your honesty, your insatiable curiosity, your willingness to learn and take chances, your humility, your humor and so much more. From the little blue/gray(?) house on the corner, the first grow bags, worm tea, the original mint and nasturtiums, you inspired this older NJ grandmom to try to garden. And, dare I say it, have fun at the same time! It was a marvelous lesson. I did not have to know all about everything. I just had to take a chance and start. If the results were not as hoped, then I could just research a bit and try again or start something new. It became a life philosophy. My garden is a bit pitiful, almost an epic fail, but that is ok. It turns out that I myself am a garden and I am growing by leaps and bounds. You taught that to me. It has revitalized my whole world view. As your business grew, I marveled at all your creativity and initiative. I thought, "Ah, the power of youth!". You have so much of which to be proud. Yet, I also saw the initial joy slipping away as your garden adventure grew into a garden business. I felt sad for you. You are such a great gardener, though, that it was bound to happen. Turns out you are even epic at growing businesses. Who knew, right? But, one key to good gardening is letting overworked soil rest. Out here, the coming of winter helps with that. I tidy up my garden in fall, allow oak leaves to slowly drift down to mulch it; and, while winter freezes the ground and my perennials are sleeping snugly, I simply let them. Spring will be here soon enough. Meantime, I read a random book or call my sister to take her to lunch. I walk in the park and enjoy nature's gardening skills. Sometimes, I sit out on the porch and just watch my little garden sleep until my teeth chatter with the cold. There's not much to see, but while they are resting, I know that my garden plants are slowly, quietly, almost imperceptively growing into the plants they will become in the spring. And that, dear Kevin, is simply epic and so are you! Take good care of yourself, please. Enjoy the quiet of winter. See you in spring. 💚🙋♀️

G'day Kevin, what a lovely, heartfelt chat and candid incite you have given us about the importance of a lifestyle balance and how difficult this can be to attain sometimes especially when you also want to be successful at business or in whatever career pathway one takes. It's a conundrum many people face, and very few get the balance right. You are 38. I remember retiring from the Army in 2008 after a 21-year career broken and tired. I was 38, and I thought I was old - life almost over. But, it turned out to be a new beginning! I'm glad you are listening to your heart, body, and mind to do what is best for you. It's not selfish to give yourself time to enjoy and experience what you have built, and I'm happy for you that you've realised this now and not later. All the best, mate 👍🙂

Kevin, I am one of the people who has absolutely been saved by your content. I am chronically (now considered terminal) ill, and was in a really dark place around 2021. I had been largely housebound and bedridden for years at that point, getting sicker and sicker, and also struggled mentally with severe dissociation, depersonalization / derealization and other issues that kept getting worse. I knew I had to make a change and your videos were one of the things that helped kick start some massive lifestyle changes for me. I now am living and working on my own forest-farm, and have substantially improved my own prognosis by years at this point (I keep outliving my doctors expectations despite increasing complications, it's hard but hey, I'm stronger than ever and still kicking!). So thank you.

That being said, it is very clear that yes, lifestyle cannot magically fix physical and mental / emotionally health issues, nor can it solve massive stressors that society and the world at large brings. Work-life balance is more important than ever, especially when the healthcare system is more and more challenging to navigate, and you have done your community and so many people around the world so much good. Please take a step back and do what you need to do to take care of yourself. We love and care about you too!

I just want to say that your story spoke out to me. I'm 26 and lost my grandpa in January of 2021, I've dealt with anxiety, addiction and depression almost all my life. I've lost jobs, went broke, had no hope, and thought about throwing the towel in. But back in 2023, I finally decided enough was enough. I was always agnostic, but I gave God a try. I wanted to see if he could help me with all the mess I've gone through in my life. I was tired of being tired, sad and worried all the time. And even though I wanted to give God a try, I still had my doubts. But over time, he helped me with my problems. And because of what God has done for me, I would gladly go through what I went through again for his name sake. We live in a world where everyone suffers, but I would say as someone who has faith in God, suffering is temporary and that God has a plan for us. We are imperfect beings so if we follow our own selfish ambition and our own pleasures then we are doomed to fail. But Jesus loves all of us, and wants to have a relationship with all of us. I would say give him a try.
