  To clarify. The reason I put this coaster in my Failed Coasters series despite its long run is due to finances. The Staveley family lost their park due to it and only got the cost of the ride back.

  A wooden coaster would cost too much to maintain so instead we&apos;ll build the longest coaster on earth..

  Ironic that the big accident that really tanked the park was on a completely different coaster built by experienced professionals

  I feel so lucky that I got to ride this batshit insane coaster. The transport section was surreal. The far lift hill was so weirdly slow, and then the valley run transformed the ride into absolute madness. It was the most bonkers coaster I’ve ever ridden, and I treasure that experience.

  Great history video mate and thanks for using my on ride POV <br><br>The Ultimate was definitely a love hate relationship with enthusiasts as we all appreciated it for what it was but it was horrible to ride and you came off covered in bruises <br><br>Sadly the Brighton Pier Company ran the park into the ground and removed a lot of its rides because they knew they would make money off them and probably made millions in scrap metal for The Ultimate

  I loved how British Rail actually helped with this coaster, something never expected. Also I love the Sodor reference, it’s my favorite part.

  I’ve never heard anyone refer to the ultimate as a failure, was the only reason anyone went to that theme park. Was such a good ride
