  Huge disappointment about the reef tour 😢 Even a refund can’t compensate for the fact that you traveled so far for an experience that can’t be duplicated anywhere else.

  Really sad to hear the cost-cutting and other problems. We last sailed Celebrity in 2021 and 2022. Passenger loads were still light but the ships were fully staffed and they bent over backwards to make everything a top-notch experience. I guess they are getting greedy with full ships and peak prices that they still want to squeeze a bit more. Disappointing. <br><br>On a side note Ben, Your weight-loss journey inspired me to do Dry January and I’ve lost 25lbs already (which says something about my prior alcohol consumption!) and I plan to do another 25 to get back under 200lbs. You inspired me, so thank you! &nbsp;I feel so good both physically and mentally.

  Nothing irks us more than when people tell us “just be grateful we are on a cruise.”…….being grateful you are on a cruise and getting what you paid for are 2 completely separate things! We for one are grateful for your honest feedback. Taking Celebrity Edge to Alaska this year and will definitely avoid the Magic Carpet restaurant. Looks ok but not worth over $200 extra. Especially when your reservations can be changed last second without your consent.

  What a shame. I’m very grateful you tell the truth and complain. It’s not ok when this stuff happens. Not everyone on the ship is the same. For some this may be an experience they’ve saved for and may never be able to &nbsp;repeat. Thank you. ❤️💐💐

  We cruised with Celebrity several times and absolutely loved it. We were their biggest fans and always recommended them to anyone who asked. We always had a balcony not a suite though. Our last cruise with them was dreadful because standards had fallen dramatically and there was a constant push for the &apos;Speciality Dining&apos;. The standard dining room menu was basically the same every single day... every single day... Previously they had always had a standard menu of classics but also a daily changing variety of dishes. I&apos;d previously wondered why anyone would choose the speciality restaurants as the quality and variety in the main dining room was fantastic.<br><br>Cruising is currently very popular and many new to Celebrity won&apos;t know how wonderful it was and accept how it is. I have a feeling that when the current cruising craze moves on to something else Celebrity will regret dropping their standards and regret especially losing all their previously loyal clientele. I think a fellow cruiser who had the same opinion as we did summed it up when he said that this is what happens when you put the Chief Finance Officer in charge of the operation rather than someone with a long term view of the business.

  I HATE (actually HATE) being rushed to eat, that would’ve stressed me out so bad that it could have been incredible food, and I still would’ve disliked it. I can’t blame you one bit for that one. Good to hear they made it right for the shore excursion though.

  I absolutely agree about complaining when things aren’t right, otherwise how else do they improve but what really grinds my gears is when people complain about missed ports due to weather conditions that stops the ship getting there or when there is a medical emergency.

  This is why I tell everyone, if you genuinely want to see the world and have the best experiences, you need to actually go to these places and not just cruise. A multi hour excursion is never going to be enough. Cruising should be a way to have some fun and see places you actually want to visit.

  I truly appreciate the candor about your experiences while cruising. It truly is eye-opening what is going on with these cruises. I am shocked that this is going on with the &quot;premium&quot; cruise lines. Thank you for your tips and comments. I will take them to heart when considering which cruise lines to book with and their shore excursions. Shame on Celebrity for waiting for guests to complain before offering to apologize and make things right. I wonder what happened to the more timid guests who did not complain? 😒

  I think you should fly back to Australia, stay at a hotel, and plan for a local guide to take you out to the GBR for the whole day. &nbsp;You could visit several beaches, experience a down under BBQ (barbecue), go to different restaurants, and film everything, including your plane trip. 👍🏽

  Lesson of this trip: circa minute <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S6SrCBmYNPI&amp;t=1800">30:00</a>: never schedule an expensive multi-hour excursion and an expensive dinner in the same day. &nbsp;As with successful flight-planning, always allow at least two to three hours between connecting activities...or schedule them on different days so that you can enjoy each one fully and unhurriedly.
