Just want to clarify that I saw the teeth at the top of the scale and that I should have really said that I wanted an actual number like +2 or -4 or whatever somewhere on the scale. Not that it's a big deal breaker for me obviously, just that I like seeing numbers when I glance at HP values.

Amazing game, $20 well spent. However, I really wish a full rougelike card game built around first part existed. Because hands down, that was the best part of the game for me.

For the record it is indeed possible to overcome the 'forced loss' sections. I managed to use the Knife and Pliers to get enough damage through to win and the game actually let me continue on to win the entire run. That didn't progress the narrative of course because I hadn't solved all of the puzzles yet, but it was pretty fun that it let me bypass that.

Really enjoyed this game but it really killed the replayablity for me that we couldn't pick the boss we wanted to face in the third act of the game. I know it would've been a lot more work but I would absolutely be prepared to spend an additional $20 for the other two boss rooms.

On the questions asked at the end of the video, a couple of them do have responses. Kaycee Hobbes, the woman who was killed in a fire, was the daughter of the person Luke bought the booster packs from at a garage sale, and thus is the only one who could have resealed the card pack with the coordinates written in it. She also worked on the in-universe videogame, so between that and her mysterious death, what happened feels pretty clear; she smuggled the game away, buried it, and left the coordinates to where in a place she hoped someone might find it, and was killed for it. Probably wanted word about old_data and the dark secrets about gamefuna it implies to get out... Which also means Luke basically played right into the company's hands and got their property back to them by contacting them about the game, and was himself shot for it. Tragic.

I don't know if you've caught the ending of it since watching the video, but the ARG for this game was recently completed. The final piece of it is a pretty genuinely interesting unlisted video, albeit short. Funny thing about the buried floppies at the real coordinate was that that was a thing Mullins had to improvise on the spot the very morning they were discovered, having not realized until then that people would actually go there.

I've been hype for this game for a long time and I'm really glad it's blowing up a bit and hopefully gives attention to the rest of Mullins' work.

One of my favourite games I’ve experienced this year. It’s probably a hopeless thing to wish for, but I wish and hope that the devs make DLC that is just more of that D&D adventure with the other Scrybes. Great video, I wish more people talked about Inscryption.

Wait, no way. Is salt actually talking about a... recent game?! Happy to see some new type of content especially if it means more content!

Having to use Aqualung to defeat your enemies elevates this game to an altogether different level of surreal.

I love how the cards shake a little bit almost like your hands are trembling

If anyone is worried about it being a deck building game, don't be. I have little to no patience in gaming and have no care for any deck building games, but this is a masterpiece and will pull you in.

The deck building is fast paced and simple but very engaging and there's is so much more going on outside of that and the game will constantly keep you on your toes. You never know WTF is going to happen next

Far as I know, the 8 Fucking Grizzlies:tm: can actually be overcome, it might be from going too fast and/or doing too much damage.

    7:30 (spoiler territory)

On my play through i actually managed to pass the impassable wall of angry bears, i used the hourglass to skip his turn and scissors to make a hole on his side of the board for me to attack him through. It seems unintended for you to do that because the glowing red eyes never went away, it was spooky as hell. Sadly I didn't make it too far as I kept drawing poorly and died before I could reach the trader.
