  Invention saved modern Runescape. It keeps bosses from as far back as 2007 super relevant in 2021, and it removed an amazing amount of items from the game, fixing the issue of item supply over 20 years of people playing. <br>The biggest thing it gives is perks which are used for combat, skilling, etc…<br>It’s also super fun to train.

  I remember there was an event where the players were able to directly influence the story. It was just shortly after &quot;While Guthix Sleeps&quot; came out, the quest in which Guthix was assassinated. There was a huge battlefield right next to Lumbridge castle - specifically, where the general store and sheep pen (the &quot;Sheep Shearer&quot; one) are - &nbsp;where a battle between Saradomin and Zamorak was taking place. Players could choose a side and fight NPC minions from the other god, aiding and empowering their own. It was pretty cinematic actually, engaging in this huge battle as giant attacks from the gods were flying overhead. IIRC, you could only switch sides once or twice during the course of the event. At the end, whichever god&apos;s side did better would see their god victorious. From what I remember, Zamorak took an early lead, but Saradomin clinched it by a pretty decisive margin. The part about Saradomin being the first in after Guthix&apos;s barrier fell? That was the result of that event.
