  My name is violet.  I was diagnosed with Parkinson disease a year ago! Thank God for you! Sometimes I feel so sad and  alone!

  My friend had Parkinson disease. She didn't have the shakes/tremors. Didn't meet her until after she was diagnosed. No dementia. She was so sweet & understanding. Often laughing! Even though she could no longer speak. Precious chapter in my life. I was in charge of the nurses aids.  When she didn't like one I made sure they never came back. Was with her 8 years. When her husband left the house we'd do Xmas shopping w her credit card for her children & grandchildren. Until her husband cut them up. She passed at 67 years due to complications from a  UTI. Miss her. We had lots of fun. 😢

  My husband has had Parkinson’s for 15 years, I now struggle daily with the changes it has in our life, everything has changed.  We don’t socialise anymore as it is too hard, our communication is now practically non verbal. He won’t follow what his doctors want him to do which magnifies the disease.

  Patients with Parkinsons do much better under the care of a neurologist than other md's. As soon as my dad's hand tremors started, I got him to a neurologist. He has had Parkinsons for about 10 years & now is 90 years old. He is doing a lot better than some 70 year olds!!! I am in the health care field & understand Parkinsons very well....Also, most patients are slower in the morning. My dad's best time for md appointments is 1:00 pm. Then we go to lunch, maybe stop at Home Depot or Costco, we return home & he is ready for a nap. Don't overschedule & try to do 2 md appointments in one day unless they are in the same building. Costco & lunch are fun things after a doctor appointment. Sometimes he wants to do both. Other days if he is tired, we just do one. Be flexible as a caregiver.

  I have Parkinsonism. This is the best talk / information video I have ever seen. And I've watched hundreds. Thank you. For the first time I feel seen and heard and understood just from a video like this.

  Thank you for your video. My father has Parkinson&apos;s Disease caused by Agent Orange while serving in Vietnam. &nbsp; One day my father stopped talking. &nbsp;He would just whisper. He whispered for about 4 months then stopped talking all together. I&apos;d give ANYTHING to hear his sweet-caring voice. 😢 <br>It&apos;s awful watching him choke and aspirate while he wastes away. We are doing everything in our power to keep him well and pain free. 🇺🇸

  My husband got Parkinson’s at 50 he’s had it for 6 years now his balance is really bad, I’m very sad our life will never be normal again we’ve been together since we were 15,I feel sadness for my sons and grandsons there missing out on the man he was but we can’t give up he still walks and drives the small things mean more now, good luck to all the caregivers out there your doing your best ❤

  I was diagnosed with PD &nbsp;just over 5 years ago and this &nbsp;video explains most of what I personally &nbsp;have gone through. I shared it with my friends and family hopefully they get it and understand it a bit more . All you Parkies out there remember to take ur meds in time and get your buts &nbsp;out of bed stretch, move your muscles , get some sun on your face , drink lots of water and smile cause your not gonna let this PD &nbsp;own you !!!! Ok nap time 😊

  My husband diagnosed with Parkinson’s, he takes several &nbsp;vitamins, exercises, is in a Tai Chi class, still active working on the yard, is doing pretty well, but decided he does not feel safe driving as he says his balance pulls him to the right. I am glad he realizes this and will prevent an accident.
