When I was 15 in 1977, I lived in a teenage crisis runway center on 700 Frenchmen Street for 2 months. Today, the building and surrounding buildings are still the same except for maybe the paint. Come to find out, the building at 700 Frenchmen Street was constructed in 1825 as part of the early development of the Faubourg Marigny neighborhood. In retrospect, is the oldest building I've ever lived in!

I lived most of my life in the New Orleans area. Watching videos like these always makes me want to kick myself for not being a tourist in my hometown. Now that I am living so far away, I regret that I didn't take the opportunity to visit more of the wonderful historic places there.

I live 1.5 miles from the edge of New Orleans, when planning an event most consider going around New Orleans to get where they need. Rather spend an extra 15/20 min on the interstate if it avoids most of New Orleans. Crime has gotten so bad you weigh the cost of running a red light vs sitting at one and getting car jacked. Or your suspension gets messed up from the pot holes, its hard to remember the locations when each week a new one drops. If you are a tourist reading this, do the typical first day French quarter then venture out far away, the french quarter is only for tourist
