  I bought one of these from a neighbor back in early 60's who had it sitting under outdoor steps going to an upper room in his house. It had the springer front end and everything. I gave $7 for it. Got it running, drove it around for a couple weeks then traded it for a Sears Allstate moped. I guess I should have kept it, lol.

  I had a 47 Wizzer , it had heavy duty spokes on a Schwin bicycle. Had a thumb operated throttle no twist grip , always easy to start.

  My Dad bought a Whizzer engine during the war but never used it - For years as I was growing up it hung on a nail on the wall in the garage  -  When I was in high school I mounted it on a bike  -  We didn't have any of the original running gear  -  I made a jackshaft mounted on a swinging arm -  The final drive was roller chain  -  The swinging arm made for a belt slip clutch   -   I used 20" bike wheels but I had to use a 24" frame or the engine wouldn't fit  -  I shortened up the stays on the frame to fit the 20" wheels  -  I had it licensed and everything -

  I had one. It was a complete kit, used, given to me in 1965 by my sister's boyfriend when I was 12. I mounted it on an old Evens Bicycle. Yeah, 27mph is all you can expect from it. The idler pulls is the clutch. Hook a hand brake lever and cable to it. There was an optional coil on a plate that went where the points cover goes that producer 6 volts for lights. My friends mounted Briggs and Techumse engines on their bikes and were way faster. I eventually went that route. Faster ment getting away from cops easier, LOL! WHIZZER went out ofbusiness in 1966.
