  USAF brat here. I&apos;ve lived all sorts of places, but I&apos;m in love love love with Western Washington! Seabeck is my home! Happy Light for the win during winter! I&apos;m glad for the rain. It keeps our green really green!

  As someone who moved here cold 30 yrs ago (shipyard worker) and knowing nothing about Bremerton and not knowing anyone I was really lucky in where I landed, that I came from a super high priced area and thought the prices here were great, and the best was the grey days didn&apos;t bother me in the least. &nbsp;A overcast sweatshirt day is my total favorite. &nbsp;But I would certainly have loved to have a guide like this to have helped me along. &nbsp;As it happened I was just lucky to have ended up in a safe place, where I could easily get to work and I rented for a couple of years and then bought. &nbsp;That might be another thing to suggest. &nbsp;Rent first, then buy. &nbsp;Then you know where you want to be and can go for it. &nbsp;I never regretted shaking the dust of Calif of my feet and now 33yrs later I am retired and still here.

  Grew up in Bremerton and left for good two weeks after I got out of high school. &nbsp;50 some years later I get hinky when ever I have to go over there.

  Anywhere you see green year round, one should expect lots of rain. The Olympic National Park is a temperate rain forest. As a lifelong resident of the Pacific Northwest (I grew up in Portland area and live here now) I can’t imagine moving here without researching completely. Honestly, I wouldn’t move anywhere without doing so.

  Left Silverdale, WA 20+ years ago to Ohio. I remember repping 360 and driving an hour to Seattle to party. Man, the memories, CKHS 98!!
