  50 LPA in 2013 + Husbands Salary wow.. With this much salary you can do anything in 5 years of work. You don&apos;t even need to wait to turn 40s. The reality is totally different in India. Here most of the people earn 5 LPA in 2026 and that too with only 1 partner earning for whole family.

  So she is not retired ...but moved to part time since 40 - 50% of her monthly still coming from consultancy ...she just took a lower stress job once she got financial independency not retirement.

  She is my mentor, but more than that, she is someone I truly admire as a person. It’s rare to come across someone as genuine, kind, and inspiring as her. She has guided me through so many situations with patience and wisdom, always knowing the right words to say.<br>Her support has meant more to me than I can put into words.   Last eve, me and my friend were discussing about a corrupt bureaucrat who was caught with 7 crores cash and 29 plots. Now he is in jail suspended from his job. We were discussing how much one really needs to live. During my daily commute, I have seen sad couples in swanky cars and happy ones on a bicycle. It&apos;s not about numbers it is clear. &nbsp;Listening to Stories like this wise lady&apos;s, with the serene music in bg playing( Kudos to sound guys) is reminding me again of that thought. She chose to live first. I am going to do something like that, I don&apos;t want to run for money all my life and die for nothing. Wish me luck.
