  You know, I relate a lot to your points of loneliness, especially with busy friends and all. I recently graduated college and moved back with parents but they are extremely conservative, and I just can&apos;t seem to get anyone to spend time with meaningfully in-person. Also been going to therapy and realizing that I do miss having a good friend/roommate and a FWB of mine. I don&apos;t know if I want to date but would be open<br>(Also that chest story with the nurse is hilarious)

  The secret for me, to experience a true gay relationship is two likeminded people crossing each other’s path. I always was seeking a monogamous &nbsp;relationship. I was never interested in a one night stand. Sex to me has always been more emotional versus physical. I met that person when I was 30. He also was seeking a monogamous relationship. We clicked and were together 37 years. He died 3 months ago from stage four cancer. A one night stand after 37 years spent with someone who loved, honored, cherished, and respected you. Will never have the ability to offer such a safe zone that honest committed love will offer. Stay true to yourself. Don’t second guess. That likeminded guy will cross your path, and that relationship will prove to fill you, your soul, and your life with unconditional love. After decades with the same person. Being given true commitment and now in my late 60’s. &nbsp;I no longer have the need to feel fulfilled. His love will carry me into the future. True committed love is something a lot of gay guys will never experience. Because a wham bam thank you Mam is safer than opening yourself up to a situation that makes them vulnerable. Then ending up alone in later years of life. There is a difference between being alone, and lonely. I now am alone. But not lonely. Life is good…

  I never had a desire to have children. Zero. &nbsp;Many straight people aren’t designed to have kids, either. Be true to you! I love you, bro. ❤

  I also thought that finding someone would solve all my problems. That is a fantasy. I had to get myself together on my own.

  I know what you&apos;re talking about. I don&apos;t want kids either and love animals. and truly finding someone whome you can see your future with is difficult and important.

  I&apos;m glad to hear you&apos;re capable of being single. Sadly, not everyone realizes they&apos;re capable of living independently. A codependent relationship is one of my biggest fears.
