Do This to Throw The Bowling Ball the Same EVERY TIME

Wanted to share a variable that nobody likes to speak about. Back when I was 250 lbs I was not in touch with my body. I worked on my physique for a few years and I am now super in touch with my muscles, joints and body as a whole. I am able to stay more consistent with my timing and fundamentals, and its allowed me to win a whole lot more than I ever have before. Athleticism is a huge part of bowling and I hope this helps someones game and health.

Totally agree on people not looking where they start on the approach. SIde benefit - by looking where your feet are set, you'll never throw a ball with your shoe cover on.

I switched to looking at the dots a handful of years ago. It really helps me stay with the ball longer and has helped my rev rate.

Something is never hear people talk about is when the game slows down for the average bowler, being able to follow through the target and see how your ball is reacting to the lane and pins. This is a key to consistency

I've always liked looking at the dots because like you said it feels super close to you like you can just Reach Out And Touch It. I only wish the dots would go across the whole Lane and not skip them in the center of the lane😢

Yyyep... Not being consistent makes adjusting to transition so difficult. As a lefty, luckily I don't deal with as much transition as most, but I can spend an entire game searching for the right line whereas if I could throw virtually the same shot every time adjusting would be so easy. Another couple points of consistency: 1. Grip, particularly thumb (one-handed). Gotta make sure you're doing the same thing with your thumb every time. How you flex it or don't, how much squeeze you give it, and how deep you insert it all need to be consistent. 2. Wrist. This past week I think I started with a strong wrist, keeping my hand behind the ball, but then I got tired/lazy and let the ball droop for game 2 and needed to cue myself to remember to keep my wrist strong.

I always use video for bowling, softball batting, and most other sports, because it shows everything and can't be disputed, so thanks for telling people that as it's the single best training tool you can have for just about anything.

I wonder what Freud would say about 20:48? “ ROCK SOLID “ as he adjusts his nuts!! 😂😂 classic

The one aspect of my game that helped my avg grow nearly 40 pins in the past year is locking my ball from stance to release to one board. Solved approach drift, helped with targeting and increased avg ball speed 3mph. Focus on one aspect, drill and commit it to muscle memory until it becomes a feel.
