Daemon stole the stream by dressing as the Lion of Night and wearing the crown of the King in Yellow. 👑🐈‍⬛️😻

"I soaked my hair in lime juice and all I got was this silly tee shirt" is a great idea for a silly tee shirt

As for Essos in general, I love the parallels with RL.  My favorite geographical/historical area is the Eurasian Steppe from prehistory to about 1500 CE.  You get fantastic Kurgan horse barbarians, you get northern herders and traders that migrate west to east and back (and repeat for their entire lives) like the Sami.  You get Persians, you get Alexander’s Macedonians and Greeks pushing east, you get Han China pushing west, you get continual organized trading caravans in the south going both directions, you get Turks and Mongols fucking everybody up…. I love it and George has a way of hitting all the beats.

Thanks for showing us that Melnibone map attached to Essos. It's really helped satisfy my curiosity about the far Essosi coastline past Asshai. Thanks David.

Glad to see the ideas about early Andal literacy getting some traction!
