  I appreciate that they didn't have Ray reciprocate any flirty or romantic feelings towards the 2 younger girls. (The cheek kiss at the end always felt innocent to me. Like, big brother energy)

  The movie was filmed in Australia. The only American actors are Emma Roberts( Claire ), JoJo ( Hailey ),Sara Paxton ( Aquqmarine ), Jake McDorman ( Raymond ), & Arielle Kebbel ( Cecillia ). All of the other actors in the movie are Aussies speaking with American accents.

  There’s a Hans Christian Andersen quote in The Little Mermaid where he says that “a mermaid has no tears, therefore she suffers so much more”<br>That’s kinda mirrored when Aqua cries for the first time

  I like how the scene with Leonard set up what he already knew. <br><br>While not suspicious to us, the scale and the necklace led him to the book he read already about mermaids. That was a nice writing touch. And am glad he was the one to rescue Aquamarine and keep her secret too. <br><br>And she was the one that suggested the wish. He didn’t ask. She just wanted to push two potential lovebirds together and repay the favor. That was sweet.

  I stopped EVERYTHING to watch this. I loved Aquamarine. It’s severely underrated and the cast is perfect!

  Claire&apos;s fear of water is actually very valid. Its mentioned once in the beginning when she falls in the pool that both her parents drowned. Thats why she lives with her grandparents.
