Halifax is one of Canada's best cities. Unfortunately it has become horrendously expensive in a short period of time. If they can catch up with building more housing units and the cost of living can level out it will become great once again.

I'm a New Brunswicker with a long time connection to Halifax. I'm hugely impressed with your report on the city. I think it was very deep and perceptive. It's pretty astonishing to see something that good coming from folks who've just come from out of town. You guys are impressively gifted. It is a huge challenge for cities to adapt to a big influx of new people.   Saint John is a city not very widely understood for the special gift it was given with the challenges of climate change. Never in recorded history has it had a tornado. The huge tides of the Bay of Fundy bring a lot of cold water from the ocean floor to the surface and really suck the energy out of storms, plus providing fog that offers moisture on the coast even in very dry times. Saint John tends to have cooler temperatures than anywhere in the province when other parts of the country are suffering in dangerous heat. In the winter it is more temperate. I truly think it is one of the most environmentally lucky places ANYWHERE on earth these days. But that is only temporary until water levels rise drastically in the coming hundreds of years. Only about 17 meters rise will make the Bay of Fundy into the Straight of Fundy which will destroy the resonance that enables the astonishingly high  tides. Saint John for now has a lot of beauty from the many bodies of water about the city. It also has its challenges. You might like to do a report here!

Fabulous content but I did notice the Marks & Spencer logo on one of the buildings in your winter scenes with the kids roundabout. Being a Brit living here was really excited to think that we had an M&S but realised the scene was for Halifax West Yorkshire. You may need to do an edit 😆 Other than that really good info for someone who has lived here for 15 years

good job guys! yeah Halifax is my favorite one and I loved it when moved from Toronto a year ago... and not just in Canada, but it is number 2 in the world for me - the only one place I liked more was Geneva. I was born in USSR, lived in 8 countries, 20+ cities, visited 40+ countries and 100+ cities, so I have seen something and still Halifax is so cool ))) thanks a lot for shooting a good video about it! Take care! Peace!

I’m currently in Saguenay. I have lived in MTL, Vancouver and Whitehorse. I do feel an unexplained pull towards Halifax, the furthest I have gone Est is Sherbrooke and Cacouna, lol ! I can’t wait to go yet and I’m working on it. With the futur fast speed train from Toronto to Qc city, some useful mean of transport between Qc and HX needs to be talked about now. &nbsp;<br>There’s a string of military bases/ ports as well on this axis: Saguenay, Lévis, Gagetown and Halifax. These need to be linked by rail thru Qc city 3rd link. I actually wrote to the Premier Legault about this for our national building projects
