  I was born here and also have lived most my life here.<br> I agree with most of what he is saying but keep in mind when he says the pros far out weigh the cons that depends on how much money you have. Halifax could be a delight if your making 100k and over but if you are making 70 and under you are going to feel the the weight of the costs. The things to go out see and do are nice if you can afford it after paying the huge amount in living costs. Especially post covid &nbsp;it has become a little insane. Anytime I ask friends if they want to go do something the answer is always the same &quot;sorry just cant afford to&quot; if you are more of a homebody this place could be nice but in my opinion the Cons far out weigh the pros but that just my perspective and individual expériences will vary.

  It seems that those whose job it is to inform the public either avoid the full truth or soften the reality to avoid causing alarm. But the facts speak for themselves. I have owned a home in the South Shore area since 2009. Back then, my annual property tax bill was a certain amount—manageable and predictable. Today, that same bill is four times higher. Not adjusted for inflation, not slightly increased—multiplied by four. That’s a 300% increase in roughly 15 years. For a long-term resident and property owner, this is not just a minor adjustment; it’s a dramatic financial shift that affects affordability, equity, and the very decision to keep owning property in the area. Downplaying this as routine tax growth ignores the real burden on people like me.

  Been here my entire 28 years and absolutely love it wouldn’t want to be anywhere else in the world just wish we had more snow because I have a skidoo haha but definitely love my boating/camping days in the summer, great video!!

  A very honest sounding description of your beautiful city..Alot of history there also with the touching cemetary were the Titanic souls are laid to rest...Do you find many americans retired in Halifax realizing right now Americans are not very popular in your peaceful country...
