I hope things keep settling down where you live for your peace of mind. I'm really excited to see your future creations for Olórin and your other babies this year 🩵🐍 thanks for being you, Shira!!! Olórin was so cute during the intro. 🧙🤗 And the bonk 😆

Awe 🥰🩵🥰🩵🥰 what a beautiful video. Halfway through when you showed the picture of the Dumeril's in its natural habitat, I remembered to think about how you were creating this hide for sweet Olórin. It filled my soul with a big smile. And don't forget the smile on my actual face too, especially at the end of the video!!! I'm so thankful to witness your creativity and giving spirit in action as you consider your snakes. What a beautiful thing. It fills me with warmth ❤️❤️❤️🐍😊

Thank you so much for this! I’m upgrading my bci boy who I got from a rescue over summer and I love researching how to make naturalistic enclosures! I’m making him a 6ft one with 4ft height.

He’s in a 4x2x2 at the moment as he’s only 3ft or so, it’s full of plants with 3 hides and a nice big log, there’s leaf litter for his isopods too. I made his background myself and painted with acrylic however I used a different paint method which allowed me to create depth and variation in tone with one layer and quick strokes but you need to work fast with it! It’s a quick way to get colour and looks great.

For the brownish rocky colour you mix on a plate or glass pallet a lot of burnt umber, yellow ochre and a dab of black to get the tone you want then swirl the three colours loosely through it so they don’t mix as such then when you pick it up with a big brush it add natural colour variation and blends in as you sweep it quickly ☺️

Materials wise would you say it’s ok to use the polystyrene over foam board? I’m looking for a cheaper alternative to foam board.

Do you have any tips on water bowls too? My boa is having a filtered pool made but my royal (also from a rescue!) has just a normal water bowl and I’d like something he can have a dip in if he likes.

Question. Does the power come with the epoxy. Do you have links as I did not see any in your description
