Snake Therapy is dedicated to education about snakes and their ability to have profound impacts on our mental and emotional well-being. Combining passion for snakes with discussions about the human condition and animal welfare, our mission is to remove the fear and stigmas associated with snakes and replace them with empathy and wonder, as well as to increase knowledge about captive management and behavior for those who have them at home as family members. Shira has spent years researching the therapeutic effects reptiles have on people with Neurodivergence in order to give voice to the animals and people who society considers "outcasts"... so if you'd like to contribute or be part of episodes highlighting the topic, please fill out the Reptiles and Neurodiversity survey in the links below! Shira has 25+ years experience caring for snakes, and is the Treasurer and a Snake Educator for an Animal Therapy Nonprofit called The Little Zoo.
