  They didn't extend the front end of the Trans Am, as you can plainly see in all of the driving shots of the car that they show.  The 'jump car' had different dimensions because it was made from an ex-drag racing funny car (tube frame, flip-top fiberglass body). It was made that way for drag racing.  And they didn't fool anybody: I noticed it the first second I saw it at the movies as a kid.

  Well you done it again. Making up your own facts. Bert had the car in his collection and sold at auction after his death. The car that made the jump was rocket powered not jet. The hero car was never lengthened. Get your facts right!.

  Er, everyone can tell the car&apos;s red not black...<br><br>I&apos;ve always been able to tell that the jump car isn&apos;t the Trans-Am as well. It isn&apos;t anywhere near the right shape.

  The movie you&apos;re talking about Hooper. It was half of it was shot in tusaloosa, Alabama and yes, the car did it exist in the jump that you&apos;re talking about, they did jump that car, and it total it &nbsp;Out. So, yes, a lot of people down here, including me, watch that movie getting made, because where our mall is right now, that&apos;s where they blew the stacks up if you watch It. The movie you will see real closely traffic out there. &nbsp;On outstretch, that&apos;s the highway with them. All University mall is and that mall is in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.<br> And the jump the bridge.<br> Was in fosters. &nbsp;That also is in &nbsp;tusaloosa Alabama.

  The movie they were filming made no sense. What happened to Adam West? Why was he jumping off a roof to save a dog, the earthquake scene again was just chaos, what earthquake makes everyone drive like maniacs?. Hooper was a far better movie than the one they were filming for the movie if that makes any sense. 😂 and Sally Field in those white shorts was iconic 🔥

  Well your wrong about a man jumping the gorge. Get a copy of hotrod magazine that had &nbsp;an interview with hal Needham saying the jump was 6 to 700ft, to dangerous for a person, &nbsp;so the modified drag car with the rock had no driver

  So obviously you don&apos;t understand how movies work or how actors work. I thought you were going to give some interesting facts other than the car didn&apos;t have a functional rocket or switches didn&apos;t actually work and the actor had to pretend that they did. Want to waste of time
