  This sounds like a book of etiquette and protocol in a royal court about three hundred years ago. The idea that every Thai woman in the nation would have exactly the same response to these cues, is quite frankly surreal.

  Intention is the key here. Living in Thailand as opposed to taking a or multiple holidays in Thailand are two totally different things with different exposures and expectations. For both the woman and the man. <br>As someone who’s lived in many countries over the years I chose Thailand for all the reasons you just mentioned. I have lived happily in Thailand for 7 years and when you get it right it is amazing to be in a relationship with a Thai woman. <br>Good description of the reality of the culture. Like it or not it’s there. The experience will be exactly what you create. Remembering that your own countries values and behaviours mean little to women in Thailand is the key. Some are patient with a gaff or 2 but there are definitely some showstoppers a foreigner can’t recover from. &nbsp;<br>Excellent and candid advice.

  I would like you to cover the type of Thai women foreign men meet at holiday resorts. They expect to be paid and usually agree the amount at the front end. So leaving money on the table is welcomed. Bar ladies as example may not observe Thai culture in the way you are describing and some go one to form long-term relations with Foriegn men.

  Just be yourself and let her be herself, and if it doesn&apos;t work out, no big deal. There are millions of women in Thailand... Don&apos;t overthink it
