  The internet has a lot to answer for, but my god I would never have seen this without it. This has to be one of the most amazing live performance ever. I’ve been coming back to this video for well over a decade. Incredible

  Whoever recorded this is not only the best person in the world, he is simply a saint. Think about it, he not only recorded this in 98, when it was already very difficult for an ordinary person to have a camera, but this guy had an excellent camera that managed to capture the sound in an absurd way, even with all the shouting around him, he managed to record every detail of the performance. But as if that weren't enough, this saint still saved and preserved this tape until 2004 or later, because YouTube didn't exist in 98, so he patiently saved it until he could finally present humanity with this masterpiece. Thinking about it now, was this guy a saint or a current of time?

  That long note at the end gets me every time. Noel never gets the credit he deserves, especially for his voice.

  This audience had no idea they were experiencing arguably Noel Gallagher’s best live performance of Slide Away.  Absolutely epic, a literal masterpiece

  There&apos;s something about this one. And there&apos;s something about this performance too. I&apos;ve heard this song at least 500 times, maybe a lot more. I&apos;ve listened to it locked up in my room all through my adolescence, smoking cigarretes on winter nights with an open window, no lights but the one on the computer screen. I&apos;ve cried while listening to it so many times I cannot even guess a number. <br>I used to listen to it and think about this girl that I couldn&apos;t have. I was in deep pain, unable to hold her, kiss her, touch her. <br>After many, many rejections over the years, I sang this song, and this version, to her at a sweet 15 party. A buddy of mine played guitar. I was 13 years old, she was 13 years old. I know we were young, but it all felt very real. She was with someone else at the time (not at the party), but I got through her that night, just as Noel got through every layer of my body and grabbed my soul so many times. <br>Three years passed and we finally got together. Sadly, there was no happy ending. I guess as Jack Johnson says, waiting on love ain&apos;t so easy to do. <br>However, this song takes me back and so deep very easily. I&apos;m 28 now, and I still cry some times when I hear Noel bite that &apos;&apos;Take me there&apos;&apos; and then release into that sustained note. You know why? Because he really left something there that night. It is almost tangible. It is so sadly hopeful and so clear, so honest, so sensitively strong, the feeling he injected to this one. I cannot fathom such a crappy video (so thankful though) and so many visits without an essence as rich as the one it has. <br>I love this song, I will always do, and I&apos;m sure that at the end of the road this one will be my deepest cut.<br>Something similar happens with Don&apos;t Go Away&apos;s version at this concert, but it&apos;s not quite as clear.

  TAKE ME THERE.... I got tickets to this show for my 16th birthday. &nbsp;I remember praying every night and up to the minute they walked out on stage that they wouldn’t cancel. &nbsp;My prayers were answered and precious Noel sang this song just for me ( or at least it felt that way 🤷🏼‍♀️). &nbsp;One of THE best nights of my 16 years on earth ❤️
