  The issue with ‘bedrotting’ is that they treat collapse like a cute aesthetic. For people with high-functioning depression, which some people don't even realize they have, giving yourself permission to fully shut down doesn’t lead to healing, it can actually flip the switch from ‘functioning’ to full on depression.

  I feel like with that homeless man trend in particular, it feels insanely dangerous not just because it can cause someone stress or get someone hurt, but it plants that seed of doubt if it were to actually happen. Say a homeless person actually broke into your home and you tried telling this to someone who knew about the trend; congratulations, now you’re in even more danger because the person doesn’t know if you’re just pranking them or not.

  I think the general thought process with things like the Lucky Girl Syndrome is that if good things can happen because you wished them into existence, then you start assuming that bad things happened also because of your wishing or lack thereof. So they put themselves into this impossible situation where they think something as severe as cancer was their fault because &quot;they didn&apos;t wish enough&quot;

  The Kia challenge also had the wonderful side effect of driving up the insurance rates of anyone who bought a Kia or Hyundai without a pushbutton start. I bought a Seltos, with the normal keyed ignition switch just as the &quot;challenge&quot; started and my rates went through the roof. Allstate and other companies were outright refusing to cover them for a while before deciding to just keep jacking up the rates. I wound up trading that one in for a brand new Kia (it is far more reliable than the Dodge I had before).

  Girl dinner was just quirky anorexia. It leads to so many health problems that people aren&apos;t even aware of. People who are actually suffering from anorexia deserve compassion and respect, cosplaying an eating disorder is just pure narcissistic trash. Also, love you Berry. 💙
